
Trifecta Part Wheels
Two-Three-Five Part Wheel: Consists of a "five horse pool". Key "two horses" from the pool of five, add another horse to form three. The ticket can be arranged in any order. Example:
1-2 /1-2-3/ 1-2-3-4-5 This ticket costs $12 based on a $1 base trifecta. You may arrange the horses in any order, but the "two horse" and "three horse" positions must come from the "five horse pool".
Two-Five-Five Part Wheel: Same as above; this ticket will cost $24. Example:
1-2 /1-2-3-4-5/ 1-2-3-4-5 Again the "two horse" key can be placed in any position and the two horses must also be contained in the "five horse pool".
Two-Four-Six Part Wheel: Same as above examples; this ticket will also cost $24. Example:
1-2 /1-2-3-4/ 1-2-3-4-5-6 The two and four horse positions must come from the six horse pool.
Single Horse Key/Rekey: I use this method when I find a legitimate "overlay" who is well qualified to beat the favorite. I use two basic "Single Horse Keys" and then I invert it on a separate ticket. Example:
One-Four-Four Key: 1 /2-3-4-5/ 2-3-4-5 This tickets costs $12. I then invert it and purchase (Rekey) another ticket: 2-3-4-5 /1/ 2-3-4-5.
One-Three-Five: 1 /2-3-4/ 2-3-4-5-6 Again this is a $12 ticket. I invert it (Rekey) and purchase another ticket: 2-3-4-5-6 /1/ 2-3-4. It makes no difference where you "place" the "key" horse. The above examples key the single horse in the "first" and "second" positions.
In each of the above examples we can win with or without the favorite finishing in the money. Assuming we do not key the favorite and the favorite is used in the pool.
Let's assume that there are 7 playable races on the program and exacta and trifecta wagering is available on each race. For $140, you can bet into 7 exacta pools and 7 trifecta pools using the top two picks. This is how you do it!
In the exacta pool, for $8 you can box your top 2 picks for $2 and play your third choice underneath your top and second choice. This gives you four $2 exactas. In the trifecta pool, for $12 you can play a $1 part wheel using your top two picks in the the top spot with all four picks in the middle and underneath. This gives you 12 shots at hitting the trifecta. The total cost per race for this ticket is $20 per race or $140 for all 7 races. You have 16 combinations that will get you to the cashier's window in each race plus there is the opportunity to cash in 2 pools. Not only that, you don't necessarily have to invest the entire $140. If you're up money after the first race, you can pick up your chips and cash out.
If one of your top selections goes off at good odds and you like him, don't be afraid to bet him to win for $20 or more. Bet more on the horses with higher odds and less on horses with lower odds. If you are going to survive and enjoy this game, it is going to be on good and large hits, not a whole bunch of small ones. The odds are against you there. The following Exacta model is great and works fantastic; First off all always "gravitate" towards your selections with higher odds. Let's say we like 4 horses and in order #'s 1-2-3-4 #1 BEING YOUR TOP PICK ETC.

This is a $33 bet. If top picks hit you make good money. If your $2
bet hits, you probably break even on the hedge. It is definitly NOT
recommended to play every race. If you play every race you will loose
money, no ifs ands or buts. If you just like this game to have fun
(nothing wrong with that) and like to bet every race then make all
of the above smaller wagers and cross your fingers.
Pick and choose your spots and look for value.
Also pay attention to the will pays before the race. You might have to
make some slight adjustments to make sure you hedge correctly.
Any maximum bet should not exceed 5% of your spendable bankroll. To
make the bet described above, you must have $700 in spendable bankroll or
more. If you are serious about making money, bring your chips to the table.

When playing Pick 3's i like to play 3 tickets, I will play
1 with 3 with 3 ---- A / A B C / A B C
3 with 1 with 3 ---- A B C / A / A B D
3 with 3 with 1 ---- A B D / A B D / A
This will get you 4 horses in each race
If playing a $1 ticket this will cost $27 but it gives you a chance to Cash
three tickets if your key horses win all three races, if you played a 3 with
3 with 3 , the cost is the same but you would only have one winning ticket
Most people never have much of a chance to win a pick-six. This is because most people don't have hundreds of dollars required to put a lot of horses on a single pick-six ticket. If they bet several tickets, they are likely to do so in a haphazard manner. This can lead to many tickets with 3 or 4 winners, but none with five! Putting all of your horses on one ticket is the only way to guarantee a pick-six. This costs a fortune.
The following methods guarantee at least one pick-five ticket, if you can select a winner in each race. You also have a decent chance of hitting the pick-six. Best of all, you can play the pick-six without risking a fortune.
FORMULA ONE: 4 horses in 1 race, 3 horses in 3 races, and 1 horse in the remaining two races. Naturally, you put your two best picks as the singles. To put all these horses on one ticket would cost $216.00. Do it our way and it only costs $24.00!
1 stands for first choice, 2 stand for second choice, 3 for third choice, etc_ Purchase 9 tickets. Three tickets cost $4 each, and 6 tickets cost $2 each.

Remember, carefully replace the choice number by the program number of your selection. Give yourself lots of time. Lay everything out carefully. Also, you can change the vertical positions around. For example, if you wish to put the singles in the first two races, you may. However, you must keep the same right to left order.
